Title: Mrs. Mary Flynn-Dalton

Comment:

Heartfelt wishes from a NL relative you don't know. Anna Angel-Woolgar, daughter of the late Irene Furlong and GERALD ANGEL. Dad, July 19/12-May 30/03, was the son of John Angel & Anastasia Flynn."Nanny"Flynn-Angel, was born 1885,died 1957. In 1907, my grandmother Anastasia, was living with her parents, Ellen & John Flynn ,as per the census for that period, on 29A Hamilton Ave. Ellen is listed as a tailoress and John Flynn as a laborer.

Nanny had a sister, Alice Flynn & other siblings, which I have. Costello of Hr. Main married a Flynn.

I believe I looked after Tom Flynn's mother when nursing @ Escasoni in 1994 or thereabouts. I knew Tom and wife Nancy when teenagers.(They had twin daughters.

Also, good friends with another Flynn Cousin over the years, Helen Marie Flynn-Roche. Had 4 daughters - one of which had twins 4 years ago. Helen & I have been working on the Angel-Flynn Family Tree, as did my Dad, Gerald. (Richard & Mary Ann Rogers-Angel(l)) moved their family from Petty Hr so their children could all have good educations in town. They did. The first Angel settled in the mid 1600's in Petty Hr. JOHN ANGEL(l) - from Endland. Dropped the second "L" when they moved to town. Have loads of information if you would care to have it.

TWINS run rampant in the Flynn line - Nanny Flynn-Angel had twins in 1921, Mary, died when 51 and Rev. Bro. Larry Angel, who died of cancer as well, in 1980. We knew Uncle "L..A" well - always stayed with his brother, my Dad and my Mom, Irene Furlong-Angel when he "came home."

My sister, Cathy Angel-Squires has twin boys.

I belong to a web site, Nfld. Grand Banks & I saw this obit listed on it & thought I'd take a chance. I belive that MARY FLYNN-COSTELLOm given her age, could be the granddaughter of Alice Flynn, my Grandmother's sister. I was 63 on Dec. 22. If MARY was like my Dad, again, son of Anastasia Flynn and John Angel - knew them all - she had to be a most loving person. Her picture bears a resemblance to "Nanny" and to Tom Flynn, my cousin's mother for whome I cared as mentioned. She also looks like my other cousin, Helen Marie FLYNN-ROCHE.

If, sometime, you would like to verify the above, I'd love to hear if I am correct. My address is : Anna Angel-Woolgar, 57A Perlin St., St. John's, NL, A1E 4C3. Tel # (709) - 237-1188. God Bless. Anna
