It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Elizabeth Horvath in her 87th year. Elizabeth was predeceased by her loving husband Steve after 44 years of marriage, her brother Nick Krisko and her grandson Michael Horvath. Mom leaves behind her two children, Frank Horvath (Sandra), Carolin Giroux (Gary), four grandchildren Rebecca Files (Charles), Frank JP Horvath, John Giroux and Christine Nutt and four great-grandchildren Matthew, Quintin, Kenadie and Steven. She also leaves behind her sister Margaret Kankula (Andy), her sister-in-law Ursula and many nieces and nephews. Mom was a devoted wife and mother. Her greatest strengths were her love for her family, her cooking and homemaking skills and her gentle nature. We will miss you Mom. We wish to express our deepest thanks to Dr. Woodland and the staff of the United Mennonite Home in Vineland for their years of wonderful care. Visitation will be held at Victoria Greenlawn Memorial Chapel & Visitation Centre (1525 Highway 3, 1km west of Walker Rd. Oldcastle, ON 519-969-3939) on Thursday, March 11, 2010 from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
