Mrs. Joan Kathleen Weston

August 31, 1922 - March 6, 2010

(nee Leigh)

On March 6, 2010 at 87 years of age surrounded by her loving children, our beautiful Mom peacefully joined her beloved husband Charlie (2004) to be together forever. Formerly of Tecumseh. Beloved wife of the late Charles (2004). Loving mother of Louise Wright and husband Dennis; Margaret Melanson and husband Reg; Patricia Mae Iler and partner Doris Wilson; Gayle Weston; James Weston and Suzanne King; Chuck Weston and Sherry. Dear daughter of the late Sydney and Kathleen Leigh (nee Batchelor). Dear grandmother to Jeff Trudell, Kathleen and husband Scott Crooker, Leslea and Grant McMullen, Jason and Suzie Melanson, Matthew and Andrew Melanson, David and Shelley Iler, Kayla and Karrie King, Steven and Karlie Weston. Also survived by ten lovely great-grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Margaret Jewhurst, and Ronald Leigh. Sister-in-law of Angie Rutherford and Morella and Leo Donnelly Janette Weston and Eileen Weston. Joan will be sadly missed by countless nieces, nephews and friends whose lives she has touched. Special thanks to the nursing staff 4West - Met. Hospital. Visiting Monday, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday, from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel, 12105 Tecumseh Road, Tecumseh (519-735-2830). Prayers Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Family and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at Ste. Anne Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Cremation. In kindness a donation to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre or to the Heart and Stoke Foundation would be appreciated. You may share a memory at www.marcottetecumseh.ca.

My deepest condolences to all of the Weston family for your loss. Joan was a special lady and a most wonderful neighbour. I considered her our 'back up mother' as she was always there to lend a hand. Her laugh was infectious, her nature kind and generous and her peanut butter cookies were spectacular. There is a warm place in my heart for Joan.
