Mr. Tito Chiavatti

December 19, 1927  -  March 8, 2010

CHIAVATTI, Tito,
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Tito Chiavatti early Monday morning in his 82nd year at Markham Stouffville Hospital. He fought his illness bravely and with dignity until he could no longer fight. Beloved husband of Eligia. Loving father to Enzio and his wife Susan. Marcello, Daniel and his wife Linda-Ann, Michael and his wife Selena. Proud Nonno to Karen and husband T.J., Roberto, Kevin, and new arrival, Stefano. Tito came to Canada in 1949 and worked in construction with his family until he started his own very successful home building company. Along the way he made many friends and business associates and helped many people to establish themselves in business. He arrived to this country with ambition and realized his dreams and earned the respect of many. He will be sorely missed. Relatives and friends will be received at HIGHLAND FUNERAL HOME, MARKHAM CHAPEL, 10 Cachet Woods Crt., Markham (Northeast corner of 16th Ave. and Hwy 404), 905-887-8600 on Wednesday, March 10 from 2- 4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Parish, 5633 Highway 7 East, Markham (East of McCowan Ave.). Entombment to follow at Highland Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society. A Book of Condolence may be signed below.

Affettuosamente,

Filomena Costa

(figlia di Francesca DiDomenico)

Title: Dear Uncle Tito and Family

Comment:

Dear Uncle Tito,

You were a great man, one of THE nicest on this earth, bar none.

I will never forget how kind you were to me over the years when I worked on construction with you and dad and your sons.

You always had a smile and kind word for me.  I thought of you often through the years and was always happy to see you, which brought me back to those days long ago.  Time flies, years pass, but I never forgot.

I can still hear your voice to this day, and see your smile, saying your signature phrase, "What chu can do"?  It always made me laugh, your broken English, and I remember it fondly.  I say it often, it keeps you alive to me.

When your time has come, what chu can do?..nothing, just rest, enjoy your family that I know you are with, say hi to your brothers for all of us still here.

What chu can do ... watch over your remaining family, who are missing you dearly.  You have a long legacy in those boys, their kids and wives.

You were like a father to my dad, he will suffer and miss you for years to come,  I hope he heals quickly, it will be hard for me to watch.  He is to me what you were to him, THE BEST!!

To the entire Chiavatti family:

Words will never express my sorrow for your GREAT loss.  I give you the condolences in words that a sorrowful heart can never convey.  Please try your best to remember all the great things about your husband, father, grandfather, father in law, and most of all, friend, and keep him alive in your hearts.

It has been my total honor and privilege to know you Tito Chiavatti.

I would give anything, just one more time, to see you smile and hear you say............................"what chu can do?"

God Bless you and your family Sir.  Much love and respect.

Maryann and Howard Prophet xoxoxoxo

Title: John and Filomena Tyndall

Comment: My heart goes out to Tito's family, Eligia, Enzio, Sue, Marcello, Linda and Dan, and Michael, Serena and baby Stefano. Although our hearts are broken by Tito's absence, his loving presence will endure in our words, actions, character, and our souls. Tito was my godfather - a man of honour, thoughtfulness, care, and patience. He was a true gentleman and responsible role model. He saw untouched beauty in our children and welcomed, without question. Our family will forever remember him as a giving, humble man who was always willing to help, to share, and ultimately respect all those that were lucky to be surrounded by his strong presence. We will miss him as he leaves us to share peace and unending love in heaven. We'll always honour his life and be grateful for the way he touched our lives in countless ways. Just as he guided his children to build homes and neighbourhoods for others, now Tito will follow Jesus when Jesus said "In my Father's house, are many rooms... I am going there to prepare a place for you." (John 14:2)...and he will reign with Him. Filomena, John, Mathew and Cameron Tyndall

We extend our heartfelt condolences to you all in your time of grief.

Living through the anguish of losing a dear one is the price we all must pay for the joy of having had them in our lives to begin with.

Our wish for your family:  May the time quickly come when smiles replace the tears at the lifetime of memories you will forever hold dear.  May they console you in your loss.

Both Peter and I will also truly miss Tito, and remember him most fondly.

May God take Tito safely into the clasp of His own two hands.

Sincerely,

Peter & Diana Dilley
