Mrs. Mary Elizabeth (Aunt B) Arthur

October 8, 1942 - March 6, 2010

ARTHUR, Mary Elizabeth (Aunt B) - At LHSC University Hospital on Saturday March 6th 2010, Mary (Aunt B) passed away at age 67. Predeceased by her husband John, and her sons Ronald and Jeffrey. Dear sister of Margaret Grierson (and her late spouse Paul) and predeceased by two bothers Daniel Swanson (spouse Goldie of California) and John Swanson. Lovingly remembered by her niece Tanya Grierson-Weiler (and her husband Todd), Janice and Danny, and John and Trudy. She was affectionately know to many as 'Aunt B' and will be remembered for her generosity and warm hugs. A service of remembrance will be held at FOREST LAWN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1997 Dundas Street (at Wavell), London, on Tuesday March 9th at 3 P.M. Visitation will be 1 hour before service time (2 P.M.- 3P.M.) Interment to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations appreciated to the London Humane Society in recognition of her love for her dog 'Bo'. Online condolences accepted at www.memorialfuneral.ca

Comment: I have known Betty since I was 9 yrs old, and she was like a second mother to me, her son's and I were good friend's, Betty and I have stayed in contact all of these years and I am really going to miss talking and visiting with her, but I will allways remember the good times and will never forget her. Aunt Marg you have been so good to her please take solace in knowing that now she is in peace and with the boys and John and with the rest of our family. She will now once again be happy and the Aunt B we all knew and loved.

So sorry, your life has had so, so many loved ones passing away before their time. Please take comfort -- they will be having a party up there for sure. She will be happy and pain free again.

Comment: My deepest sympathy is extended to you all in your recent loss. I worked with John at Westminster Ponds for several years and got to know Betty quite well over the years. I enjoyed many times at their home near Masonville and had some super times at their cottage. I kept in touch with Betty after John passed away. I know that she moved out east and heard from her again when she moved back here. Betty was an affectionate, loving, caring person that I was proud to call a friend. She went through so much in her short life and always had a smile and a kind word. She will be missed by many. God Bless you. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
