Thomas Wade Redden, age 45, of Three Mile Plains, Hants County, passed away on Sunday, March 7^th, 2010, in the Halifax Infirmary, Q.E. II, Halifax, with his family by his side.

Born on March 31^st, 1964, in Windsor, Hants County, Nova Scotia, he is the son of Bob and Pat (Swinamer) Redden, Three Mile Plains.

Besides his parents, Tommy is survived by his wife, Janice (Lowthers); Three Mile Plains; his parents, Robert “Bob” and Patricia “Pat” (Swinamer) Redden, Three Mile Plains; siblings, Scott (Bev), Carol (Danny) Dill and Mary Jo, all of Windsor; nephews, Alexander Hayman and Michael Dill; niece, Alison Dill; his mother-in-law, Connie Lowthers, Three Mile Plains. Tommy is also survived by his dogs, who held the most special place in his heart.

Cremation has taken place, under the care of Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor.

Visitation will be held 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm Wednesday, March 10^th, 2010, in Lindsay's Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.

Dear Pat, Bob, Carol, MJ and Scott,

I've been thinking back to those days when we were living across the street from you folks.

Remembering when Tommy joined band, and he used to come out on the back steps and play the opening lines of "Sir Duke" by Stevie Wonder, over and over and over again. Mom always had the windows wide open, and I used to sit in the living room and listen to his notes (and grin.)

And the times when we would all be in your garage (Chris, Eugene, Carol, me and Tommy), playing ELO on the turntable. And we'd play that over and over again, too, sitting in those old chairs and carrying on.

I also remember when we first moved into the neighbourhood and one day we were all playing in Dad's barn. Tommy was teasing me and I turned around and hit him with a broom. His forehead was bleeding and I went running to Mom to get her to patch him up. I fwas so upset and I figured he'd never talk to me again, but that wasn't Tommy's way.

We had a lot of fun and although we lost touch over the years, I always thought of him fondly.

I was so shocked to here about Tommy"s sudden passing. He was without a doubt one of the funniest quick witted guys I've ever known. Tommy, my twin brother Ronnie and I use to run the roads quite a bit when we were teenagers. We lost touch over the years but when I think of Tommy I still laugh. I alway remembered Tommy's birthday because Mine & Ronnie's are on March 22nd, 1964.
