Zwicker, Lawrence Gerald – 69, Lower Sackville, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2009, after a long battle with diabetes. He was the son of the late Sterling and Viola (Parker) Zwicker. His brothers Dale and Dewayne predeceased him. He was deeply loved and will be missed by his wife Dorothy (Bernard): children, Dean, Laura, Blake and close grandchildren Dan and Tiffany. He will be truly missed also by brothers, Paul, (Irene), Frederick (Claire), and Timothy: sisters, Jean, Phyllis, Lynn (John): sister-in-law, Cheryl and many nieces and nephews. Lawrence was born in Morristown, Kings Co. in 1939 and spent his early childhood in the Annapolis Valley with the rest of his youth spent in Rockingham from 1948 onward. Lawrence spent 10 years in the Navy before going on to get his electronics degree at Devry where upon he spent the majority of his career with DND as an electronics technician before retiring. He will be remembered for living life as per his favourite motto: “Live, Love and Laugh”. Quick to crack a joke, he could catch you off guard with his loving humour. His pursuits were wood-working, stripped bass fishing and ham radio. He had a deep lifelong love for his wife Dorothy and was a great father to his children and grandchild Dan. To celebrate Lawrence’s life and his passing a memorial service will be held on Saturday June 6 from 11am-12pm in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr, Lower Sackville, Rev Jean Udall officiating.
